Hollywood actor Michael Douglas is positive about his throat cancer treatment and believes that it will be cured fully but raised concerned when he revealed that his cancer has reached crucial stage IV. The actor appeared at the CBS ‘Late Show with David Letterman’.

When the talk show host Letterman asked the 65-year old actor if stage IV was a good diagnosis, the actor replied, “Um no.”
The actor said, "No, you like to be down at stage I ... but it has not -- the big thing you`re always worried about is it spreading ... and the expectations are good ...”
"The percentages are very good. I would hate to say, but right now, it looks like it should be 80 percent, and with certain hospitals and everything, it does improve,” he added.
According to experts at National Cancer Institute, people who are on the crucial stage IV, head and neck caner usually undergo surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
Douglas also confessed that his drinking and smoking habit is the prime reason of cancer.
Douglas also expressed his frustration on the doctors who were not able to diagnose anything when he underwent series of tests in the early summer. But after the summer break he did biopsy when it was found that he is suffering from throat cancer which has reached on crucial stage.
"Because I was on it early in the summer and started complaining about something, but they couldn`t see it then."
