As we all are aware with the news that Hollywood’s versatile actor Michael Douglas is suffering from throat cancer and will soon gear up for the hard radiation and chemotherapy treatment but according to Dr Kenneth Hu of New York’s Beth Israel Medical Centre, there are chances that the Academy award winning actor could lose his voice after the treatment.

“You wouldn’t treat a benign tumour with radiation, so most definitely this is a malignant tumour," Dr Eric Genden, Chief of head and neck cancer surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Centre quoted.

However, the 65-year-old actor is positive about the treatment and hopes that he will be successful in defeating the tumour.

Douglas, who is married to Hollywood star Catherine Zeta Jones said in a statement ‘I am very optimistic.’

Meanwhile, the actor who will soon be seen in new film ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps’ has postponed his entire work schedule for two months.
