They were considered as the happiest couple of Hollywood but their split came as a shock to the world. Lately Courteney Cox and David Arquette announced their split but a source claims that the estranged pair did everything possible to save their 11-year marriage.
The source said that Courteney and her actor hubby were focussed to revive their love and agreed to work in Scream 4 in order to feel the same spark when they met on the sets of the first Scream in 1996.
An insider said, “They fell in love on the first Scream, and a big part of their relationship was these films. They signed onto the fourth film as a potential way to make them remember what made them fall in love with each other. They both would talk about that.”
It is also believed that the couple consulted counsellor to save their marriage but eventually nothing worked.
“They were in counselling…they were doing anything that they thought would save their relationship. They worked together on the film, but then she finished her shooting schedule early and the absence just made things revert back to the same way it was before, which wasn’t good.”
