Bollywood actor Abhay Deol is expected to return to India from New York for playing the lead role in Anil Kapoor’s home-production ‘Ayesha’. While informing about his plan of returning to India, Abhay Deol said that he is also considering to start his own production company. He added that he has also prepared the next treatment for his script.

 

Directed by Rajshri Ojha, ‘Ayesha’ will have actress Sonam Kapoor opposite Abhay Deol. According to sources, although the ‘Dev D’ star has signed to play the male lead role in the film but all attentions is focused on Sonam. Father Anil Kapoor is trying everything to make sure that Sonam gets the most lavish home production possible.  

 

The movie ‘Ayesha’ is an adaptation of Jane Austin’s famous novel Emma where Abhay Deol will play the role of Sonam’s secret lover. As per sources, the ‘Delhi 6’ actress has selected everything from the theme novel including the clothes. Sonam’s clothes for the film are being designed by Hollywood designer Mona May.

 

Apart from Abhay Deol, there are two male protagonists in the film - Cyrus Shahukar and newcomer Arunoday Singh. Speaking about his role in ‘Ayesha’, Abhay informed that he will play the Mr Knightley character from the novel Emma. The actor will be seen as a rich, well-groomed and urban man in the film.
