Volvo S60 To Hit Indian Markets On March 10  Volvo S60 |
The much-awaited Volvo S60 luxury sedan will be available in India in the next week. The company has now officially announced that it would release its Volvo S60 on March 10, 2011.
Volvo S60 will have pedestrian detection technology (with full automatic brake), ergonomically designed interiors, 7 inches screen at the headrest, Bluetooth hands-free for music lovers and many other superior features.
The sedan will come with the price tag of Rs. 30 lakh for the Indian market. With the increasing competition among the luxury car makers, the prices of these high-end vehicles also tend to come down, which is what has happened in case of Volvo as well.
Volvo, which usually prices high, has now dropped the Volvo S60’s price to such an extent that it would be one of the cheapest cars in the luxury segment.
Even as Indian middle-segment is increasingly being targeted by auto makers, the luxury segment has its own space regardless of the price ranges.
So when launched, Volvo S60 would be a perfect competitor for BMW, Audi, Mercedes and other players in the luxury segment. We should wait to see if other top-end car makers would also come with similar prices to beat competition.
