Vivek Oberoi came for the promotions of his upcoming movie ‘Rakta Charitra’ to Bangalore yesterday and he reveals that he was referred to as ‘Karnataka-Ka Damad’. He is going to tie-knots with a Bangalore based girl, Priyanka Alva, who is the daughter of a late politician and an acclaimed dancer.
Vivek reveals, “Today I was referred to as Karnataka-ka-damad, instead of the usual terms like actor or hero when I arrived.”
Vivek has already started to learn some Kannada words like Yellarigu Namaskara" (Namaste to all) and "Swalpa Swalpa"(little little). Vivek made his presence in Bangalore in an awards press meet for his upcoming movie ‘Rakta Charitra’.
Priyanka’s personal choices demand that her husband should be a non-smoker and non-drinker, in fact a total non-violent person, which Vivek is in real life.
Vivek adds further, "In real life I do not smoke and on screen I avoid it unless the character demands it. In this film too the character demanded it so I had to smoke on-screen.” The marriage is due for 29 October.
