Anusha Rizvi, director of Oscar nominated movie ’Peepli Live’ has claimed that Aamir, the producer of the movie is alone trying to take credit of its fame and success and in spite directing it with husband Mahmud Farooqi, she is not getting enough appreciation.

 

Anusha and Farooqi have distanced themselves from the film and from superstar and producer Aamir Khan, claiming that Aamir is alone trying to take all the credit himself.

 

The couple also says that Aamir has a habit of taking the creative control of the film at any point of time, he wants. The face of ‘Peepli Live’ has always been Aamir, in spite of just producing it, whereas the story line and direction is all done by Anusha.

 

The filmmakers have also stated that they disassociated from the film when Aamir Khan and the producers UTV Motion pictures began to curtail their creative involvement.

 

In fact, such an incident has not happened for the first time. In the movie ‘Taare Zameen Par’, Aamir stepped in and pulled director Amole Gupta from the film, he himself poured in ideas and at last it was his film, as Aamir was also the producer of the movie.

 

Seeing this attitude, filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has decided to include a clause in his forthcoming films with Aamir that the actor cannot ask for any changes once the shooting starts.
