Vivek Oberoi To Make Autistic Children Dance With Joy Vivek Oberoi |
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi will be teaching dance steps to autistic children as an act of humanity.
A dance academy, Arts in Motion (AiM) will conduct its annual Festival in Chembur on July 23 with the theme "Dance with Joy, Accepting Responsibility, Understanding Autism".
Vivek said, "I am very happy to participate in AiM 2010 where the spotlight is on helping autistic children to dance with joy and embrace life fully. It is very interesting to see how AiM can leverage dance as an art form to heal lesser privileged people and give them immense joy."
This event will be held with a social cause of creating awareness of Autism among children.
AiM's proprietor Aanchal Gupta said, "Every year, AiMF chooses one particular socially relevant theme in a bid to promote dance amongst various sections of society. AiMF 2007 revolved around challenging arthritis, in 2008 it broke barriers by embracing street children and last year it urged people to fight cancer. This year, we have brought autistic children to the fore by teaching them to use dance as a therapy.”
