Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt and his wife Maanayta were blessed with twin babies a few days back, the couple is presently enjoying their parenthood and have named their babies.
The boy baby is named as ‘Shahraan’ and the girl baby is named as ‘Iqra’. Both the names are Persian, ‘Shah’ means ‘Royal’ and ‘Raan’ means ‘Knight’ or ‘Warrior’ and ‘Iqra’ means ‘to educate’.
The couple picked up the names when they went for an Egyptian holiday a few months ago and there they chose the names of both boy and girl.
Sanjay Dutt wanted to name his boy’s name with initial letter of his own name, that is ‘S’, so that people can call him Junior SD.
Sources add further, “So Shahraan will be known as Junior SD. Iqra and Trishala (Sanju's elder daughter from first wife Richa Sharma) sound in rhythm with each other and were chosen accordingly."
