Ranbir Kapoor Needs No Wake Up Call Like Sid Ranbir Kapoor |
Ayaan Mukherjee’s ‘Wake Up Sid’ brings out the playboy, Ranbir, in the character of Sid, the lazy, unmotivated slacker from Mumbai. If the movie promos persuade you to attach the tag of ‘lazy boy’ to Ranbir, then hold on. The actor plays the role which is exactly contrary to his real personality. He is an absolute workaholic and highly responsible for all his commitments.
Ranbir worked restlessly for his film ‘Wake Up Sid’ campaigning. He worked consistently for the promotional track of the movie completing it in just four days and three nights without even a single break!
He had just four days in hand for ‘Wake Up Sid’ campaigning as he had to shoot for Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajniti’. Despite a tight schedule, Ranbir made the best use of the time available with him in promoting his movie.
Besides the promotional song, Ranbir did all justice to other promotional activities like TV interviews, promotional photo shoots, magazine cover shoots and others.
The director Ayaan Mukherjee is full of praise for the committed actor and says “He was a great sport and he behaved like a super hero. The only thing that annoyed him was jumping in a pool (for the music video) which he hates, as he is not a water person at all. But he managed to do all that with little or no sleep."
According to a close source from the film sets, "Ranbir used to report on the sets everyday at 6 pm. Then he gave some promotional interviews for the film before shooting for the video. He shot for three entire nights without getting any sleep. He used to reach home at 7am and then launch into promotional activities for the film the entire day. So, in these four days and three nights, Ranbir must have hardly slept for three-four hours overall."
This explains for the consistent growth and popularity of Ranbir in such a short span of time.
