‘Ra.One’ Action Sequence Copied From ‘Robot’? Shah Rukh Khan |
A train super-hero action scene in Shah Rukh’s ‘Ra.One’ is now said to be copied from Rajnikanth’s ‘Robot’ but the fact is that it is not possible as the movies are shot at different places with sealed knowledge of each other’s strategies.
A source adds, “The two sequences have many special effects and boast of the hero’s never-before-seen stunts on top of a train.”
Such striking similarities can only be a result of co-incidence that both the movies have the same kind of action sequence, though ‘Ra.One’ action scene is told to be far better than ‘Robot’s’.
Sources close to ‘Ra.One’ says, “Shah Rukh has always been a big fan of celebrated chase sequences on top of speeding trains in films, like the one in Sholay. He wanted to mix that sense of thrill with special effects and stunts in RA.One. How was he to know that director Shankar had the same thing in mind for Rajnikanth?”
Well, for the knowledge of everyone, SRK has shot that scene with an investment of 3 crores and would never want to re-edit that scene just because of the co-incidental similarities between his ‘Ra.One’ and ‘Robot’.
Resul Pookutty, film technician doesn’t deny the similarities either and says, “There are lavish train-top action sequences in both films. We are looking at how to keep it (RA.One) completely different from the earlier one (Robot).”
