R Madhavan Feels That Playing A Simple Person’s Character Is Quite Difficult R Madhavan |
R Madhavan is happy with his role of a simple guy in his upcoming movie as he feels that as an actor playing a simple person is far more complex than playing an extraordinary man.
He said that one of the greatest challenges that he faced while playing a simple guy is that it’s actually very difficult to glue people’s interest in a simple character as people tend to find the character boring in a while.
Speaking about his movie Tanu Weds Manu, he said, "Manu is the simple, strong and silent guy. He is the kind no one wants to mess with. Actually, he does not need to look like a hero. After some time, the character can actually start appearing very boring. So, the challenge was to make sure people find him interesting enough. I really had to bleed the heroic characteristics out of him."
The actor’s reel life character is somewhat similar to that of his real life as well because he is a simple man. He prefers spending quality time at his home rather than going to parties. He said, "I am so thankful that I have never been embroiled in any controversy. That adds credibility to my image. I am never seen around in big parties and prefer to spend time at home. I won't say it is a conscious attempt and I have also had my share of fire (read gossip) here and there. But it has all died a natural death. That's the way I am in real life."
