R Madhavan says that Tanu Weds Manu has more romance than comedy. He said that one cannot expect it to be completely a comedy movie as it also tells a love story.

 

Though comedy is a part of the flick, but, it’s not the essence of the movie. He said, "I don't feel comfortable calling 'Tanu Weds Manu' a romantic comedy. It has more of a romance than comedy. And of course it isn't 'All The Best' or 'Golmaal'."

 

Madhavan is Manu of the movie, an NRI who wishes to get married to an Indian girl. He comes across a Kanpur girl Tanu and falls in love with her fun-loving and care-free nature. Though he looks out for a typical Indian cultured girl but, love takes him to the other way round as he falls for Tanu.

 

Madhavan added, "This is pretty much a predicament for my character. Nevertheless, all of this is shown in a very amusing manner."

 

The movie is slated to get released on 25th February.
