Even after 13-years of her tragic death in a car accident she is remembered by her fans. Like every year, this time too many events were organised to mark the death anniversary of Princess.
Diana was born on 1 July 1961 Park House, Sandringham, in Norfolk to John Spencer and Frances Shand Kydd.
At the age of 16 she attended Institut Alpin Videmanette, a finishing school in Rougemont, Switzerland. At about that time, she first met her future husband, who was then dating her eldest sister, Lady Sarah. Diana reportedly excelled in swimming and diving, and longed to be a professional ballerina with the Royal Ballet.
She married Prince Charles on 29 July 1981. The wedding, which was held at St. Paul's Cathedral, was televised and watched by a global audience. The marriage produced two sons, Princes William and Harry, currently second and third in line to the thrones of the 16 Commonwealth realms.
The pair divorced on 28 August 1996 which was highly publicised by the worldwide media.
On 31 August 1997, Diana died in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris along with her then boyfriend, Dodi Al-Fayed and the acting security manager of the Hôtel Ritz Paris, Henri Paul, who was their chauffeur.
Meanwhile, In China an ad campaign which was posted at the Shenzen airport in southern China attracted the attention of worldwide media. In the revealing ad, the lookalike of Diana was posing in a bra and briefs playing a cello.
British journalist, San Chambers quoted on Tuesday, "I was just going to collect my baggage from the carousel when I saw it flash up on a rolling advertising screen and couldn't quite believe what I was seeing."
Chambers, added, "I thought, surely not, because it was rolling quite quickly. So I waited to check when it came up again and, sure enough, there was an image of Diana. It's all the more striking because today is the anniversary of her death."
