Perfect Mismatch Review Perfect Mismatch |
Director: Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad
Cast: Introducing Anubhav Anand, Nandana Sen, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher;
Perfect Mismatch is the story of an architect Aman (Anubhav Anand) who falls in love with Neha (Nandana). But as usually things start truning worse as his orthodox uncle (Boman) who has brought him up meets Neha’s dad (Kher).
Their first meeting itself sets the tone for the things for future events. Now the two lovers have to find a way for bringing both the families together. What crazy mix up it all leads to and what pleasant changes it brings about in all the characters involved forms the rest of the plot.
This Indo-American venture does not have a bad plot but it is just that it does not have anything to offer which is very impressive and unique. The film has its share of genuinely funny moments that one can enjoy with the full family unlike few recent so called romantic comedies.
But the film is held together by the performances of Boman and Kher as one keeps looking out for their next encounter together. Debutante director Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad’s has not done anything to impress the audience with his narrative style and his lack of technical finesse shows.
Music by Josh is also below average.
This film, even though is not a very impressive one, can be watched along with the family by those who will love to watch the Anupam Kher - Bomman Irani comedy.
