The latest Nokia N86 8MP (Mega-Pixel) arrived in India after much delay, to the delight of the mobile-giant’s Indian users. The unveiling of the new phone comes close to the launch of the N97 high-end phone in the country.
The N86 will give Samsung and Sony Ericsson a run for their money as they too have recently launched their Innov8 and C905 8MP phones respectively.
The phone comes with 8GB of memory and can be expanded to 16GB using an expandable microSD memory card. The lens is a Carl Zeiss Tessar dual-LED lens which has auto-focus and features variable aperture (F2.4/3.2/4.8), mechanical shutter (up to 1/1000) and auto-motion blur reduction features.
The battery pack is a 1200mAh BL 5K battery which boasts of providing 4 hour talk time with the 3G function enabled and 6.3 hours on GSM, in addition to playing 25hours of music in offline mode. It holds a large 2.6-inch QVGA AM OELD (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) screen.
Incidentally, the phone is the first 8MP phone from the Finnish maker. It is priced at Rs. 27,359 and will be available with all local mobile vendors.
