Khatta Meetha Coils In Controversy Akshay Kumar |
Some days before, the star of the movie, Akshay himself got into the controversy of visiting and asking the ailing cartoonist RK Laxman to see his movie, ‘Khatta Meetha’. Now, the recent addition in the Friday release movie is the objection by the Censor Board for showing an elephant pulling a road roller.
Film-makers sometimes forget the conscience of working and show anything in their movies which can later trap them into controversy. Priyadarshan directed movie, ‘Khatta Meetha’ has been objected by the Censor Board for animal cruelty.
Censor Board Of Film Certification viewed the film on July 13 and objected on the same. They also asked Priyadarshan to delete the scene from the movie which would mean delay in release and huge money loss.
But, the matter has been sought out now and the movie prints have already been released in the theatres in India and abroad.
The PR department for the movie added, “Yes there was a small issue but it has been sorted now. In fact the overseas prints have also been delivered."
The movie is also the launch vehicle of the Southern star Trisha Krishnan and ‘Khatta Meetha’ marks her first Bollywood debut.
