‘Udaan’ Is A Film For The Common Man Rajat Barmecha |
The release of ‘Udaan’ has added many dimensions to the untapped Indian cinema areas. The movie showcases the struggle by an Indian student to chase his dreams, it is a movie based on the common man’s life. Its storyline captures the scene of a typical Indian family who restricts their children from chasing their dreams.
‘Udaan’ got released the last Friday and since then it has received many applauses from the audiences and critics. The film has already been appreciated at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
The movie is produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by debutant Vikramadtiya Motwane. The story revolves around the life of a boy who lives the naïve period of his life at a boarding school and later discovers that he can only step ahead with his father’s will.
After much suffering and restrictions, the boy finally runs away from his home to chase his dreams.
Vikramaditya adds, “It’s a kind of film which everyone will relate to. One would be able to identify with few instances in the film, which one might have experienced in one's teens. The higher education system needs more attention where it can give students a lot of flexibility to pursue their dreams. They should be allowed to focus on what they like doing.”
While the movie is doing great at the box office, it has also killed the hype of stardom associated in a movie. ‘Kites’ and ‘Raavan’ are the biggest over-hyped movies in the recent times. Rajat Barmecha plays the lead role in the movie.
