Singer Jessica Simpson who was in New York to promote her new album ‘Happy Christmas’ brushed off the reports which claimed that the reason behind the surprise announcement of her engagement with footballer Eric Johnson is that she is pregnant with her first child.
But, the beauty was quick to dismiss the reports and added, "They are no babies yet. But, I definitely see myself having a family with him, so that`s exciting to think about.”
Meanwhile, Simpson's fiancé made every effort to hide her three-stone ruby engagement ring and he was actually successful.
"He had the ring in his shoe at my house somewhere. I was like: Why hide it in a shoe? But it worked. I had no idea."
Jessica Simpson said it was a total surprise when Eric Johnson proposed her for marriage. The singer was watching Parenthood when Johnson, 31, popped the question.
"He got down on his knee and I had to sit down on it because I was so shocked. I was … short of breath. It was definitely one of those moments where I've never felt that way before, ever."
