Honda Jazz |
Following the lethargic performance of Jazz, Honda is likely to come out with a new face-lifted version of its hatchback Jazz in India, sources said.
According to sources, the company would be launching the new Jazz by this year’s Diwali season. The hatchback, being a close competitor to Hyundai’s i20, is struggling to survive because of its higher price.
The new Jazz was recently spotted on roads with better bumpers, headlamps, LED bulbs and revamped tail-lamps. Honda Jazz could have a 1.2 litre engine with better fuel efficient capability. In fact, it is expected that the vehicle could come with automatic CVT transmission.
Honda is also set to launch its Brio hatchback in this year. The Brio would come with a new 2CV concept and chrome body at an affordable price. The car would run on a 1.2 litre Honda Jazz engine.
The other close competitors including Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo, Chevrolet Beat, Nissan Micra gained significant market share in India.
