Gigabyte Technology Co Ltd has launched its Gigabyte Windows 7 tablet computer quietly while its rivals are pouring in tablet computers at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Though it is launched without much-hype, a device from Gigabyte with Windows 7 cannot go unnoticed. The tablet computer comes with a stylish chassis and smooth metallic finish.
“The S1080 is designed to be the ultimate mobile device to fit the demanding needs of consumers who need a high-performing multitasking slate that offers the full productivity of a PC,” Sales Director at Gigabyte Notebook, Stephen Lee was quoted as saying.
Weighing less than a kilogram, the tablet computer comes with a built-in storage capacity of unbelievable 320GB. The device is equipped with handwriting recognition software and on-screen keyboard.
The other specifications of the Gigabyte tablet include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, VGA port, multi-touch TFT-LCD with 1024 x 600 resolution.
The tablet may come priced at around $300 and is expected to be available in retail markets starting from next month.
