Getac has upgraded its rugged tablet PC, the V100 that can be used in rugged conditions such as public utilities, waste management and field-based environments. More to it, the device has come up with more memory and processing power.

Speaking about the new device, Peter Molyneux, the business development director at Getac, said, “The added memory and processing speed make the V100 the ideal all-in-one solution for mobile-based applications.”

The new Getac V100 tablet PC sports a 10.4-inch sophisticated multi-touch screen that helps users to navigate without removing their gloves. It has a casing made of magnesium alloy and is certified with the MIL STD-810G and IP65 military standards for durability.

The tablet PC runs with Intel Core i7 vPro processor and features sealable input sockets to avoid damage from solid particles and moisture. The V100 also integrates a 2MP web camera and GPS apart from the common networking features.

The other inputs in the V100 rugged tablet PC include vehicle-mount and desk-bound docking stations.
