Dell Streak tablet has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 35,000. However, the device wears a higher price tag than the Android smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S.
Dell Streak is however not a smartphone and it is a hybrid device between a smartphone and a netbook. It sports a bigger 5-inch capacitive multi-touch WVGA screen for watching video or browsing the web.
The device associates many features like 1GHz Snapdragon ARM-based mobile processor, 5 MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash, Front-facing VGA camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, Integrated 3G + Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) + Bluetooth 2.1, GPRS and Micro SD slot expandable up to 32GB.
However, the Streak is still with the older Android 1.6 OS rather than the Android 2.2 version. Though, Dell is expected to bring the update before the end of the year.
Dell Streak will be offered with 500 MB data usage free for the first six months for Tata DoCoMo postpaid users.
