‘Bumm Bumm Bole’ is similar to the Iranian 1997 flick ‘Children of Heaven’. But, Priyadarshan has given his own touch to the movie. This is a beautiful flick about a brother Pinu (Darsheel Safary) and his sister Rimzim (Ziya Vastani). It is about the warm relationship that both of them share.

 

Pinu is the elder among the two. The story opens with Pinu being sent to the cobbler to mend his sister’s school shoes but, unfortunately he loses the shoes. The children belong to a very poor family. The role of the father is played by Khogiram (Atul Kulkarni) and the mother’s part is played by wife (Rituparna Sengupta). The family is too poor to afford another pair of shoes for Rimzim. The children study in a reputed school as it is their father’s dream to educate the children. Pinu and Rimzim, knowing the economic crisis of the family plans to share the same pair of shoes to the school as Rimzim would not be allowed inside the school without the shoes. One day, Pinu hears about an Interschool Marathon where the winner would be presented with pair of shoes. Pinu decides to win the shoes for her sister. The climax of the story is all about Pinu’s run for the shoes.

 

This movie stirs the emotions of the viewers with a beautiful perspective of brother and sister bonding. The kids have got immense innocence to bind the audience to their seats. Darsheel Safary who stole the heart of the audience with his breathtaking performance in ‘Taare Zameen Par’ charms the audience once more. Though, Bumm Bumm Bole’s script is totally different from his previous movie. The young actor again proved that he has great acting skills. The young girl in the movie, Ziyah Vastani is just adorable. Her eyes are filled with innocence and she looks just like a baby doll in the movie. Both the kids have given their best performances.

 

Some might find the movie quite slow as some of the sequences in the movie have been stretched too far making the movie longer. It is a very simple script but some of the facts have been dragged a bit. The movie has good music for kids. It is a complete family movie. It is a movie which all kids would love to watch. The bonding between Darsheel and Ziyah as brother and sister is heart touching.  It is different from all run-of-the-mill movies. Atul Kulkarni also gave good performance with Rituparna Sengupta. The movie has been elegantly shot by Priyadarshan.

 

Bumm Bumm Bole is a must watch for all kid lovers and its one of the best movies to take the kids along. This movie doesn’t tease the brains but it knocks our emotions. A quiet weekend can be enjoyed with this sweet movie about kids.
