Kuchh Kariye
‘Kuchh Kariye’is Sukhwinder Singh’s debut movie which is about a man’s fight to reach his dreams stained with terrorism. Read on to know the 'click' movie review in detail.

Director: Jagbir Dahiya
Star Cast: Sukhwinder Singh, Rufy Khan, Shriya, Vikram Kumar

Kuchh Kariye is another run-of-the-mill movie dealing with socio political aspects. It’s a man’s journey into the cruel truth of the society. It can put among the movies that are made only because something has to be made.

Sukhwinder Singh plunged into acting with ‘Kuchh Kariye’ but made it very clear that a singer should never try an actor’s cap as the audience today expect a lot from a movie and an actor other than good music .

Kuchh Kariye revolves around terrorism which is the major concern in this modern world. Sukhwinder Singh plays the role of Rishi who is a plain musician but due to some circumstances he heads towards Mumbai with love interest Alpna (Shriya) who is an aspiring actress.

Rishi and Alpna meet Javed Khan (Vikrum Kumar), a writer in train who was also in his journey to search for his destiny as he had been forced to leave his hometown as his writings were opposed by the religious communities. After reaching Mumbai the three of them come across Shani (Rufy Khan) who also has similar dreams like them of becoming an actor. Apparently, they meet Pappu Halva (Mushtaq Khan) who provides them roof to reside in Mumbai.

The four of them work as a team to reach their goals as they all had the same passion and destination. They are a group of young positive people who aim to reform the society and they believe that their positive approach will help changing their lives. They believe that if someone can think above their own selfish requirements they can attain what they want from life.

Eventually they succeed in making their own movie. However, this is where the actual story starts. Suddenly, their life takes turns and they come across terrorism, grief and sufferings. Rishi is forced to take a decision between the right and the wrong and what happens to Rishi and his perplexed life will be well answered in the theatres.

The movie is loaded with songs and the songs are also nothing exceptional. Sukhwinder Singh fans have received quality songs from him from other movies but ‘Kuchh Kariye’ fails to attract people even through its music.

Overall, assessment of the movie leads to the conclusion that Sukhwinder Singh is best suited only as a singer. The movie has a poor storyline as it distracts from its track of terrorism and gets into more diverse and controversial topics of the film industry and the actor’s struggles in it, social problems faced by a common man and many more.

The movie has poor cinematography and screenplay topped with bad performances and lack of story. One of the dialogues in the movie which makes people laugh is worth mentioning, after which it depends on the audience whether they hit the flick or make it a miss. When Rishi (Sukhwinder Singh) is approached by Shani (Rufy Khan) who is looking for an address Rishi said, "Tumhare Pass Patah Toh Hai, Hamare Pass Toh Patah Bhi Nahi Hai." (At least you have an address where you want to go we don’t even have that).

Verdict: go for it only if you have a lot of time and money to waste!
