Ben Affleck Turns Down ‘Superman’ Movie Offer Ben Affleck |
Actor-turned-director Ben Affleck was highly appreciated for his directorial work in 'The Town’ but the actor feels he needs more time to excel in the field. Impressed with his directorial skills the bosses of new ‘Superman’ film offered him to don director’s hat for the movie but he refused saying that Chris Nolan is the perfect choice.
The father-of-two feels that mogul who is responsible behind the landmark movie Inception is the right decision.
“The one benefit of having done all kinds of movies as an actor is you learn the pros and cons of being tempted to do a really big movie because it costs a lot of money. With Superman, I think they`re going to do a great version. Chris Nolan is brilliant and they`ve got a great director for it,” Ben Affleck was quoted as saying.
However, the ‘Pearl Harbor’ star admitted that he will take on big budget project in the future.
“I’d love to do something like Blade Runner, but a lesson I`ve learned is to not look at movies based on budget, how much they`ll spend on effects or where they will shoot. Story is what`s important. Also, there are a lot of guys ahead of me on the list to do epic effects movies,” he added.
