It has been announced that actor James Franco and Anne Hathaway will entertain the guest at the 83rd Academy Awards. The pair will be co-hosting the event that is scheduled to take place on 27 February at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer, the producers of the event said that, the ‘fresh, exciting and multi-talented’ pair ‘personify the next generation of Hollywood icons’.
Hathaway was nominated for an Oscar in 2008 for her movie ‘Rachel Getting Married’ while Franco is popular for his role in the Spider-Man series.
Cohen and Mischer are sure that the Oscar opportunity will provide a platform to Franco and Hathaway to "showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world".
"We are completely thrilled that James and Anne will be joining forces with our brilliant creative team to do just that," they said.
Meanwhile, Hathaway will also be joining actor Denzel Washington to co-host this year’s Nobel peace prize concert in Norway in December.
