‘Anjaana-Anjaani’ Shot On Popular Suicide Point, Golden Gates Priyanka Chopra |
The recently wrapped up shooting for ‘Anjaana-Anjaani’ took place at one of the most popular suicide points in the San Francisco, Golden Gates. The iconic bridge will be the opening scene of the movie.
The vermillion orange color bridge, Golden Gate is one of the most photographed buildings of the world. It is now 73 years old and has been declared as the ‘modern wonders’ by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Countless documentaries and shootings have taken place on this bridge and director of the movie Siddharth Anand has also shot for ‘Anjaana-Anjaani’ at this place.
The famous bridge has witnessed more than 1200 suicide jumps and it has also become one of the most famous suicide points all over the world.
The director adds, “The deck is around 245 feet above water, and the four-minute free fall is akin to a dive from a 100-floor building. Most people die on impact, and the rest drown or die from hypothermia.”
He also adds, “The Bridge is now fitted with suicide hotlines, surveillance patrol carts and lined with helpline signposts as deterrents against death.”
Although, there is a dismal story attached to the bridge, but Anand clarifies that ‘Anjaana-Anjaani’ is a fun-filled, full of life and a frothy kind of film. The post production and editing work of the film is going on and after that its release date would be announced.
