Big B came to Ooty almost 2 decades back for the shooting of the movie, ‘Shahenshah’ and after such a long time gap; he is back for a Malyalam film shoot, ‘Kandahar’.
Amitabh Bachchan is a legendry actor and he is not the one who is limited by only ‘Bollywood’. Big B has always given his best to the Indian cinema. This time, he is off to Ooty for the shooting of a Malayalam Film, ‘Kandahar’.
The film is directed by Major Ravi and it is based on a real life incident which shows a hijacking incident of an Indian Airlines flight. In the lead role, Malayalam actor Mohanlal also screens with Big B.
The director adds, “Amitabh enacts the role of a father, whose commando-son was killed by militants during the rescue operations.”
After the three days shoot gets over in Ooty, the crew would proceed to Dehradun, Russia and Afghanistan.
Mostly the movie would cover scenes from the army area in Ooty and also on the premises of the Madras regiment, Wellington.
