Renowned filmmaker and Bollywood perfectionist’s father, Tahir Hussain died of a heart attack at Aamir’s Bandra residence on Tuesday, 2nd February. Aamir and wife Kiran Rao who are at the Sundance Festival in Utah, USA will be flying back home. Grandson Imran Khan will also be flying back from New Zealand where he is shooting for ‘I Hate Luv Stories’ with Sonam Kapoor.
Tahir Hussain has some really big hits to his credit as a producer namely ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ (1993), ‘Zakhmee’ (1975), ‘Anamika’ (1973) and ‘Caravan’ (1971).
He stepped into direction for the very first time in 1990 with the movie ‘Tum Mere Ho’ starring son Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla.
He is survived by his wife, sons Aamir and Faisal and daughters Farhat and Nikhat.
