In the box office he has raked reviews with his extraordinary performance in '3 Idiots' has went for further length in creating a sunny impact at Sundance Film Festival in the US with his ‘Peepli Live.’
There was a huge lot of applause for the work at the end, Amir stated, “Another piece of good news is that our film Peepli Live was really well received here at the Sundance Film Festival. We had our first screening on the 24th (January) at the Egyptian Theatre, Park City. Super reaction right through the film, and huge ovation at the end. Audience really seemed to love it.”
After the huge success at the Sundace, Aamir confidently looking forward to make a notable worldwide release of ‘Peepli Live.’ He is curious to know about the Indian’s response apart from the non-indians, he stated, “I was really keen to see the reaction here at Sundance as I wanted to get a sense of how a non-Indian audience reacts to the film. 90% of the audience was non-Indian. I am now even more certain that this film has the potential to engage a world audience.”
‘Peepli Live’ is about an impoverished farmer who declares he’s going to commit suicide and consequently sends the media frenzy over the incident. It features prominent faces like Omkar Das Manikpuri and Raghubir Yadav in the lead roles, directed by Anusha Rizvi.
