Vivek Oberoi got married to Bangalore based girl, Priyanka Alva, last night in a very grand and high-profile affair. The venue for the splendid evening was 5 star hotel, Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore, where more than 2000 guests came to bestow their blessings to the bride and bridegroom.
The guests for the wedding arrived at a farmhouse in the evening, which looked out of activity till afternoon. The place in the evening was full of friends, families and relatives with lavish settings and exotic food.
By evening all the guests started from the farm house to the Hotel in their posh and expensive cars for the venue, Chancery Pavilion. Soon after that Vivek arrived and dhol began to beat with fireworks exploding into the sky.
Vivek was wearing a maroon-golden sherwani embellished with expensive stones work and pearls, along with that he was wearing a maroon colored turban decorated with pearls and thread work. The actor also sat on the back of a horse to mark the traditional ceremony.
The décor of the wedding venue was a mix of Punjabi and South Indian style, with expensive decoration material fixed all around. The ‘Phere’ place was the most beautiful among all, heavily decorated with more than 2,000 Swaroski crystals and 700 lotuses flown from Thailand.
Vivek’s bride, Priyanka Alva wore an expensive lehenga in maroon and red color, embellished with heavy ruby and gold work, the couple looked beautiful and exchanged garlands around 10.30 pm.
A rich exotic cuisine with both Indian and international tastes was tastefully laid for the guests. Mani Ratnam also graced the occasion by arriving at the venue, among others were various South Indian stars.
The couple danced to the tunes of many hit numbers and the costumes of the newly married couple was designed by high profile fashion designer Tarun Tahilani.
The reception is due in Mumbai at the ITC Grand Maratha on October 31st, where the Bollywood celebs are sure to rock the occasion.
