Vidya Balan has replaced Deepika Padukone in upcoming film ‘Dream Sequence’ which stars Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. The ‘Parineeta’ fame actress, will couple with Saif after a long time.

 

Saif and Vidya’s pair in ‘Parineeta’ was mind blowing and even the movie was one of the biggest hits, the pair will once again work together in Balaji Motion Pictures ‘Dream Sequence’.

 

The movie will be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and initially he took Deepika in the lead role, re-collecting her great chemistry with Saif in ‘Love Aaj Kal, but the actress gradually stepped back.

 

Sources confirm, “Initially, Deepika Padukone was to do the role. The casting of the duo together after ‘Love Aaj Kal’ had its appeal. But the actress begged off when she heard that the chote nawab was having second thoughts and that Abhay Deol would fill in for him.”

 

The filmmakers needed a lead actress, whose chemistry was already in the audiences mind and for Vishal, Vidya was the best option.

 

Vishal has also directed Vidya in ‘Ishqia’, so he didn’t have any qualms regarding her attitude and compatibility; the actress also graciously accepted the offer. She is presently working on ‘No One Killed Jessica’, along with Bengali beauty, Rani Mukherjee.
