Two New Sony Ericsson Phones Unveiled For The Indian Market Sony Ericsson Zylo |
Sony Ericsson unveiled two new phones in the Indian market to be launched later in the year under its Sony Ericsson Walkman series.
The two new handsets named as Sony Ericsson Zylo and Sony Ericsson Spiro integrate not only music features but also social networking tools like Facebook and Twitter.
Apart from Bluetooth, FM Radio and MP3, there is TrackID feature with the phones, which allows users to access the name and artist of a track they hear playing irrespective of theirs presence. Sony Ericsson also claimed to have already129 million lookups for TrackID in 2009.
The Zylo packs a 3.2MP camera whereas the Spiro boasts of a 2MP camera. There are the other regular features as well with these sets. The Zylo is heavier than the Spiro with 115 gms in weight.
“The Sony Ericsson range of Walkman™ phones has seen tremendous success since it was first launched in 2005 having sold more than 130 million handsets to date – and we are still seeing a great appetite from consumers. Today’s announcement aims to satisfy this demand by making the Walkman™ phone range available to a wider audience,” said Peter Ang, Vice President, Marketing, Sony Ericsson.
“By combining the best of the Walkman™ functionality with a myriad of social networking capabilities, Sony Ericsson Zylo™ and Sony Ericsson Spiro™ offer consumers the chance to access and get a taste of what our Communication Entertainment portfolio has to offer,” added Ang.
The Spiro is available in four colour shades such as Contrast Black, Sunset Pink, Spring Green and Stealth Black colours whereas the Zylo phone will be available in Jazz Black, Chacha Silver and Swing Pink. However, the Indian users have to wait for some time for the release of these stylish looking phones.
