Toss Review Toss |
Director: Ramesh Khatkar
Cast: Ashmit Patel, Rannvijay Singh, Prashant Raj, Aarti Chhabria, Madhurima Banerjee
Even though Toss offers a story which will be admired by the urban people, the screenplay shatters the entire story into pieces, leaving it to nowhere. This thriller thrills in bits and spurts and the final outcome is the least exciting.
The major drawback of this movie is that the form takes over the content to such an extent that what the audience is left watching a good looking film with minimal substance.
Toss is about a bunch of friends who, on their way back from a vacation, stumble upon a fortune. They decide to split the money and start dreaming of a king's life. But soon the owners of the treasure start hunting down the bunch and they find themselves in the strong claws of the law. To worsen the situation, the friends start turning against each other.
The director fails to kick off the movie from where it should have actually started by arriving at the point very late. The concept of money being the root of all evil is enticing and the writers could have done a better job with the screenplay.
Director Ramesh Khatkar fails in leaving a good impression with his first work. The music composers Sandesh Shandilya and Siddharth-Suhas also fail to deliver an invigorating stuff. The visuals are the only stuff which audience have to take back home.
Among the actors, Prashant Raj has done a good job with Ashmit Patel and Aarti Chhabria exhibiting a decent stuff. Rannvijay is a non-actor and even the length of his role is minimal. Zakir Hussain iris irritating whereas Mahesh Manjrekar and Rajpal Yadav have done a very bad job.
To be short, Toss is gone for a ‘toss’.
