The Tehran Film Festival has invited the iconic actor of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan to receive the life time achievement award. However, it is not clear whether the superstar will be able to attend the event or not as Bachchan writes in his blog that he had to attend another event in Davos at the (World) Economic Forum which will be held around the same time. Amitabh Bachchan is expected to fly to Paris the Salon du Cinema next month where some of his films, including “Sholay”, “Black”, “Sarkar Raj” and “The Last Lear”, will be on screened.
The most popular figure in the history of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan has won several awards besides being honoured with three National Film awards and twelve Filmfare Awards. The veteran actor holds the record for most number of Best Actor nominations at the Filmfare Awards. Apart from acting, Amitabh Bachchan has also tried his hands at play-back singing, film production and TV anchoring. He also became the elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
Recently, the 66-year-old legend has received an invitation from the former US president Bill Clinton to attend the annual Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) meeting. The star of the millennium who had once rocked the world with hit films during 70s has been reaching his fans through his blog. The online blog written by the veteran actor has received massive popularity over the years.
