Saif Ali Khan has been charged under IPC section 506 for threatening to kill photo journalists in Patiala. According to reports, two photo journalists were trying to take photos of Saif. Saif who was shooting the film objected to the acts of photo-journalists and used his body-guards to thrash them out. Also, he went to file FIR against photo-journalists.
Later on, aggrieved and agitated media persons collected at Mall Road to protest against the acts of Saif Ali Khan. The protest, however, came to an end after successful efforts from Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. He used Prem Singh Chandumajra of Shiromani Akali Dal and Raj Khurana of BJP to pacify the journalists.
However, subsequently, the two aggrieved journalists lodged a complaint against Saif and his body-guards on the charge of manhandling them. According to Railway Police Patiala, it has registered a case against Saif under sections 506 (threatening to kill), 341 (assaulting), 536 (cause of damage) of IPC. If, Saif is found guilty under IPC S 506 he could be sentenced to 2 years of jail.
