Tees Maar Khan
Tees Maar Khan

Directed by      Farah Khan
Produced by    Twinkle Khanna, Shirish Kunder, Ronnie Screwvala
Starring            Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif ,Akshaye Khanna

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan looks like was very confident of her directing skills after she made super hit movies like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om and decided to ditch the Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan.

She signed action hero Akshay Kumar for her latest offering Tees Maar Khan. But we are sorry to say that she has committed the biggest mistake of her career by dumping her lucky mascot and parting ways with him.

Tees Maar Khan which is inspired by Vittorio de Sica’s After the Fox is nothing but a mere disappointment. The movie which has stars like, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Akshaye Khanna and Arya Babbar still fails to win audience applause. However, the sole blame doesnot go to its actors as the poor writing of Shrish Kunder and Ashmit Kunder also need to be taken into account.

The movie revolves around the life of Tabrez Mirza Khan aka Tees Maar Khan who is a professional thief and has learned the art even before he was born as his mother used to flick during her pregnancy. You are right the idea is stolen from Mahabharata.

Well, everyone’s favourite Katrina Kaif also failed to impress the critics much. Kaif who is portraying the role of Anya, Tees Maar Khan’s girlfriend doesn’t have much to do in the movie but tries her level best to prove that she can also act but actually her efforts went in vain.

Compared to its original, Tees Maar Khan honestly doesnot stand anywhere near it.   ‘After the Fox’ was a classic piece of creative gift but the Indian remake has fully destroyed its charm.

On the other hand, the punch lines in the movie are poorly used and fails to tickle the funny bones of the audiences.

However, one word of appreciation surely goes to Kaif for her sizzling hot number Sheila ki Jawani which actually helps in reducing the pain of the audiences.

As a pair Akki and Kat looks sensuous and their chemistry still wins the hearts. But the bad script and lack of sincerity on Farah’s part made the movie surely a spoilsport.

Piece of advice for Farah; please patch up with SRK or soon you will be out from public’s heart.
