Guzaarish Review: Guzaarish Movie Review Guzaarish |
Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Star Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapoor
Guzaarish is that type of a movie which keeps your senses tingling by portraying life in such a unique manner. When we watch such type of movies in the silver screen and then look at our problems in life we get a feeling that our problem is very small compared to the issues faced by people who can’t even move their bodies and are confined to wheel chairs.
Such is the story of Guzaarish, the protagonist of the movie is Hrithik Roshan (Ethan Mascarenhas) who plays the role of a famous magician but, a small error in his magical trick injures him so badly that he gets confined to his wheelchair and is forced to lead the life of a quadriplegic till he can bear this no more and legally pleas for mercy killing.
Other important people in Ethan’s life are his nurse, the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a very practical lawyer who fights his case, Shernaz Patel along with a trainee magician Omar. Ethan and Sophia who is already married share a very beautiful relationship which has been marvellously enacted.
Ethan might be paralysed but his feelings are not. He speaks through his expressions and he dances with his eyes. His body is lifeless but he is full of life and he has a desire i.e. to face death with dignity. Ethan also shares a very extraordinary relationship with his nurse Sophia and how they express their feelings is worth watching, it is not words, it is not touch but, their eyes talk. Once again the Hrithik and Aishwarya onscreen chemistry is out to mesmerize all.
This movie is quite a new concept and the movie’s success was hugely dependent on the actors’ performances. Film maker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with cinematographer, Sudeep Chatterjee created the magic on screen. The movie has been beautifully shot in Goa.
Some of the best scenes in the movie which are worth mentioning is that when Aishwarya does her regular chores like brushing Hrithik’s teeth, shampooing his hair, cleaning his body and even scratching his nose. This scenes have been beautifully shown with so less words and more expressions.
This movie is a must watch for people who enjoy watching meaningful movies and are on the lookout for something different. It’s filled with values of life, positivity, emotions, love and it portrays an entirely different dimension of love.
Verdict: A must watch!
