Sylvester Stallone Was Depressed After Two Failed Marriages Sylvester Stallone |
Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone who had a legendary career with ‘Rocky’ and ‘Rambo’ series admitted that he went into deep depression after a string of box office flops and two failed marriages.
"I was very depressed about my personal life and my career wasn't in any great shape either. I was also about to hit 50 and naturally you start to worry about how you age, how you look and what life has in store for you. But I went through that mid-life crisis, if you want to call it that, and today things are looking pretty good," the actor-director quoted.
The 64-year old actor was devastated after having two failed marriages. At age 28, in 1974, he married Sasha Czack but the pair divorced in 1985.
The same year his divorce finalized, he married model and actress, Brigitte Nielsen, in 1985, in Beverly Hills, California. Stallone and Nielsen's marriage, which only lasted two years, and their subsequent divorce, were highly publicized by the tabloid press.
However, today he is a happy man as he found love again with his third wife Jennifer Flavin.
"You never expect happiness after you've gone through a lot of suffering in your life. A lot of my romantic troubles in the past were my own fault because I was too naive and too trusting of certain women in my life. I was burned and burned badly. But I also learned a lot about women in the process, good and bad," he added.
