Sylvester Stallone Is ‘Greedy’ Sylvester Stallone |
Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone branded himself as ‘greedy’ and regrets making ‘Rocky V’. The actor said that he got fascinated with the success of ‘Rocky’ sequels but never knew that people are not interested to see the downfall of the character.
The actor shot to international fame playing small-time boxer Rocky Balboa in the Oscar-winning 1976 movie ‘Rocky’ and he extended his success by writing and starring in a series of sequels, which have grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.
"I'm greedy - what can I tell you? It was a mistake because the audience didn't want to see the downside of the character. They wanted him to remain on top. I should have known that. I fell into a sense of self-parody," he said.
The 64-year-old is also embarrassed by his forays into more light-hearted films.
"People didn't expect me in comedies or musicals. I made some truly awful movies. 'Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot' was the worst. If you ever want someone to confess to murder, just make him or her sit through that film. They will confess to anything after 15 minutes!" he added.
