Sony Ericsson’s revolutionary gadget, XPERIA Play, the gaming plus smartphone was demonstrated at the Game Developers Conference at Moscone Center in San Francisco. The XPERIA Play was first launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The high-end smartphone becomes a gaming console when it is slid-out. And the landscape view offers superior gaming experience. The four inches touch-screen adds magnificence to the device when used as phone. The device runs on Android 2.3 operating system aka Gingerbread. Plus the phone has Sony Ericsson’s own user interface.
The other Sony Ericsson smartphones that were launched recently including XPERIA Pro, Neo, and Arc run on Android 2.3’s latest Gingerbread operating system.
There is a 5.1 mega pixels camera with flash, autofocus, image stabilization and video recording. The smart-device is equipped with 400 MB of internal memory and comes with 8GB card. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play has Internet features- Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and lets users download from Google’s Android Market.
