First it was Anil Kapoor father of Sonam Kapoor whose film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ took India by surprise by winning Oscar Award and now his daughter making a name by becoming the first Indian to be nominated for the coming fourth Asian Film Awards.
However, the young actress still didn’t achieve awards for her performance in Indian award ceremonies but her role in Delhi-6 has got remarkable recognition in fourth Asian Film Awards where she has to compete with four contenders from China and Korea.
It sounds though not very easy but never know like her father she can emerge as a surprise winner and do India proud like her father. She made her first Bollywood debut in 2007 opposite Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Saawariya’. Last appearance on screen she made was in Delhi-6 which didn’t clicked well in Indian box office.
Sonam has been nominated in the best newcomer category was announced on Thursday , reportedly the fourth AFA presentation ceremony will commence on March 22, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Currently she is busy with two projects one is ‘Aisha’ and other is ‘I Hate Luv Stories.’
But then her concentration must be ticking on the award and why not every Indians must be counting on her. All The Best!
