Singer Sir Elton John who recently welcomed a baby boy with partner David Furnish spoke about his experience of becoming a parent. The singer agreed to speak for the first time after baby’s birth.
“For many years we have talked about fulfilling one of our greatest wishes by becoming parents,” Elton John was quoted as saying.
“And now this wish has been granted to us, we feel so blessed and lucky,” Elton added.
The pair welcomed their son on Christmas and named him Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John. He was born to a surrogate mother in California and weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces.
Elton met his Canadian-born partner, a former advertising executive and now film maker, in 1993. On 21 December 2005, they entered into a civil partnership.
