Shilpa Shetty is all set to glamorize football as she is planning for an IPL style football league in India with her husband Raj Kundra. The actress with her businessman husband has been extremely successful with their IPL team. According to media reports Shilpa is keen to implement her plans.
The couple is joint owner of Rajasthan Royals with the Emerging Media Group.The league will be similar to IPL format and teams will be owned by different franchisees whose ownership rights will be decided through bidding process.
The couple hopes to attract both national and international footballers from various countries and leagues around the world. A sports enthusiast Shilpa Shetty wants to take Indian football to greater heights as she believes better infrastructure will garner much larger fan base for the game.
