The Android 2.2 or Froyo software update for Samsung Epic and Sanyo Zio smartphones is now available. The update, which is reportedly effective from February 21, 2011, will take four days for complete roll-out for the Samsung Epic smartphone.
The smartphones will get their updates through Over-the-Air (OTA) medium. So after updating the software one can expect better performance of the phone, Froyo 2.2 operating system, Flash Player 10.1, enhanced Bluetooth, Bluetooth voice dialing, better GPS and enhanced storage capability.
Sanyo Zio, on the other hand, will take five days for complete roll-out and it can be done via Wi-Fi feature. So by updating the Android 2.2 or Froyo OS on Sanyo Zio, the device will get better Sprint ID activation and improved battery life besides other enhancements.
