Russell Brand, Katy Perry Bans Wedding Gifts Russell Brand |
Hollywood lovebirds Russell Brand and Katy Perry who are soon to enter the wedlock have urged their family and friends not to shower lucrative gifts on them on their wedding. The couple has also decided to donate the monetary gifts that they get to charity.
Brand said, "Katy has got a good job and I've got a good job, it seems indulgent to ask for more things, so we're going to do something more worthwhile and humane with any money that people want to give us."
Meanwhile, the actor has also warned the people speculating that the wedding of the year is going to be a big extravaganza, as he said, “It will just be like a normal one. It will have a first dance, it will have all of them things, like anything else. It's no more interesting or no less spectacular than any marriage of anybody, so it's very beautiful and incredible and wonderful but it's also utterly mundane."
The Get Him to The Greek actor who recently celebrated his bachelor party with friends including musician Noel Gallagher and comic David Williams admitted that it was a real treat and a perfect adios to his single status.
He said: "My whole life has been a stag night. It was good. I got caught up in a Hindu wedding, went to see West Ham, popped to Stringfellows. It was a nice combination of the spiritual man I'm becoming and the Essex boy that I was!"
