Priyanka Says That Her UNICEF Selection Was Obvious Priyanka Chopra |
The 28-year-old actress, Priyanka Chopra is hardly surprised over her selection as the brand ambassador for UNICEF to promote child rights and adolescence. She says that her past efforts for the poor have just paid-off now and her selection was quite natural.
The former beauty queen and national award winner lady adds, “I have been supporting UNICEF’s efforts in India for the past three years without drawing any media attention. There’s no reason for people to be cynical over my capabilities of performing my duty now that this is official.”
Priyanka knows that she has got enough under her belt now and she need not look here and there for more, so this attitude is quite normal. Apart from ‘Anjaana-Anjaani’ and ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, she has got a reality show on Colors also.
She further explains, “Throughout my career, I have always multi-tasked. My interests are varied and I want to explore each of them while I can.”
The promotional posters of the movie 'Anjaana-Anjaani’ have also become a matter of controversy as they closely resemble an Oscar nominated British movie, ‘An Education’ poster.
But Priyanka contradicts the rumor and explains, “It’s just a strange coincidence that the posters look alike. It wasn’t a deliberate move.”
Explaining about the movie,’ Anjaana-Anjaani’, she says, “Anjaana Anjaani is about two individuals who decide to commit suicide after several failed attempts at love. They come to the same bridge to do so and the ironic encounter becomes the starting point of a long-term friendship.”
The movie is a rom-com and it will release around September 24, the shooting of the movie is about to complete and its promos and trailers has attracted a lot of attention from the audiences.
