Kangana Ranaut has finally got something which is different from the daily popcorn dose. This time, Indian origin director Deepa Mehta has offered her a role in ‘Midnight’s Children’, a book by Salman Rushdie.
Deepa Mehta is one of the most renowned directors in India and her film ‘Water’ was in the nominees of the Oscar awards some two years back. This time, she has decided to adapt Salman Rushdie’s book, ‘Midnight’s Children’.
Kangana will play the role of a Pakistan based politician’s wife, her name in the movie would be Emerald and she is described as beautiful and mysterious.
Deepa thought Kangana as the most suitable character for the role in the movie. Even Kangana has confirmed the news and she has told that the shooting will begin from the next year.
