Priyanka Chopra was recently miffed during an interview which was held in Delhi. A Punjabi man irritated Priyanka by accusing her of not being a Punjabi.

 

A source said, "Priyanka was taken aback by the accusation. At first, she laughed it off saying she is very much a Punjabi. But the man kept piping in loudly that she had done nothing for Punjab or Punjabis. Priyanka, finally, told him to shut up and quit."

 

Though, the man went out after that but, he spoilt the actress’ mood. Priyanka has a reputation of being friendly to her fans but, the man’s behaviour hurt her deeply.

 

A 7 Khoon Maaf spokesperson said, "It was weird and inopportune, Priyanka's Punjabiyat had nothing to do with the occasion. We don't know where the man came from and where he disappeared. But the whole incident was suspicious."

 

While Priyanka’s dad is from Punjab, her mom hails from Jharkhand. She spent her childhood days in UP’s Rai Bareilly.
